Do you have a brisket point leftover from a cookout? Don't toss it! Transform it into these Twice-Smoked Honey BBQ Burnt Ends. Our signature Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning creates a deep, savory base, while layers of brown sugar, honey, and our smoky Bearded Butcher Blend BBQ Sauce takes things to the next level. The result? Melt-in-your-mouth cubes of brisket with a perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and savory.
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-smoked beef brisket point (seasoned with Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning)
- 1-2 cups Bearded Butcher Blend BBQ Sauce
- ½ tablespoon Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons honey
Instructions:
- After smoking a brisket, separate the point from the flat. Let it cool completely, and then refrigerate.
- The next day, or after it's sufficiently chilled, slice the point into rough 1 ½ inch cubes, and place in a high wall foil pan.
- Preheat your smoker to 185°F.
- While the smoker heats up, sprinkle brown sugar and Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning on the cubed brisket point, and drizzle with honey for a touch of sweetness.
- Place the pan with your burnt ends in the smoker and let them reheat for about an hour. This allows the brown sugar to melt and caramelize.
- After that initial smoke, crank up the heat to 350°F. Now comes the Bearded Butcher Blend BBQ Sauce! Add it to the pan and gently stir to coat the burnt ends. Let them cook for another 25-30 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Take your burnt ends out of the smoker and serve immediately. These beauties are perfect on their own, or piled high on a bun with your favorite toppings.
