I have been making sausage for 40years and get my casings from the local grocery store. I have tried all the tricks but sometimes they are just tough and chewy. Your casings are fantastic, tender with the right snap. I made brats, Italian and they were excellent in the smoker with my kielbasa.
These are some of the best casings. They stuff very well and are nice biting into. They are a little short on average, but no big deal. Not as tough as some I’ve bought in the past. Only reason for deducting a star is the price. I purchased I think 16 packs of these casings. When buying that many units, some discount should be provided. Other than that, I’m happy.
